My name is Bim, and this space is a reflection of my personal journey through health challenges that have deeply affected my daily life — particularly Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS), seasonal insomnia, chronic gut issues, and sensitivities that often leave me feeling wired, restless, and frustrated.
The Seasonal Puzzle: Understanding My Restlessness
Every year, like clockwork, from around April until December, I experience intense restlessness in my legs — especially during the evening and night. But strangely enough, during the winter months (from December through March), these symptoms almost completely vanish. This seasonal pattern has become a core clue in trying to understand what’s truly going on in my body.
Challenges I Face:
Over the years, I’ve dealt with a complex mix of symptoms and challenges — some physical, some mental, and many hard to explain. Here are a few that have had the biggest impact on my daily life:
- Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS)
- Chronic sleep disturbances and insomnia
- Seasonal restlessness (especially April–October)
- Muscle tension and twitching
- Sensory overload and hypersensitivity
- Fatigue and brain fog
- Digestive issues and food sensitivities
- AD(H)D traits (diagnosed in adulthood)
- Anxiety and periods of intense inner agitation
- Reactions to supplements and medications
- Fluctuating vitamin and mineral levels
- Sleep apnea
This Journey Is Ongoing
This is not a fixed story. It’s an ongoing process — symptoms shift, new patterns emerge, and insights come and go. What I share here today may evolve tomorrow, and that’s part of the path I’m walking. I’m continuously learning, observing, and adapting.
What Helps Me?
It’s a constantly evolving mix of things. At different times, I’ve found relief in magnesium, vitamin D, herbal teas like peppermint and dandelion, quiet reading before bed — and, surprisingly, even a midnight snack or cigarette has brought temporary calm during restless nights. What works isn’t fixed; it shifts, just like my symptoms do. Some things seem to soothe me for a while, others stop working, and I adjust as I go.

While I’m not a medical expert, I am an expert in my own experience, and I hope that by sharing my journey, I can uncover new perspectives and find the missing pieces to my puzzle.
